Our Purpose

This year, the Baltimore Sun will celebrate the 3rd annual Baltimore Sun Business and Civic Hall of Fame. This program will honor the achievements of business and civic leaders who have spent their careers working to transform and improve Maryland. Nominations for this prestigious award were solicited from the Baltimore Sun readers and winners selected by a committee consisting of our editorial board, as well as the area’s most prominent leaders.

JAlogoA portion of the net proceeds  will go to Junior Achievement  of Central Maryland, dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. These K-12 programs provide relevant, hands-on experiences in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. Junior Achievement of Central Maryland reaches more than 40,000 total students in 12 Maryland counties each year.

We are delighted to present our honorees with a special award at a celebratory dinner at the new Sagamore Pendry hotel on Thursday, June 7th.
